The Storehouse is a hub for locals and travellers. It is a place to get your Kokako espresso fix first thing in the morning…and often again, later in the day! It is a place where families and kids can play, eat and be with each other. Our space welcomes community connections, creative work meetings, and a venue to host great celebrations.

Since taking over the iconic café in 2019, childhood sweethearts Shail and Alina, both experienced chefs and entrepreneurs, launched their cafe dream into a reality.

At the Storehouse, we are on a mission to provide a place for friends, families, and local businesses to indulge in quality food. We pride ourselves in our delicious Kokako Roasted coffee, a cabinet full of nutritious and delicious goodies, and a wide-ranging menu of mouth-watering breakfasts, brunches, and lunches.

We value having a place to relax, and so do our customers. This is why, we the Store House team, are proud of our cafe space – a place that is a little bit unique with a whole lot of comfort.

The Buddha bowl was sooooo good! It’s one of the best brunches I’ve had in NZ. I also got a banana muffin which was so fresh and tasted like heaven.

Great little gem café in Taupo. Good coffee and fresh food. Just check out their smoothie bowl! Also, it opens at 7 am which is a bonus.

Storehouse is an excellent cafe slightly off the beaten track of Taupo city. They make excellent food and great coffee! The chicken waffles were a particular highlight for us.
